Mourning the End of Ink

The Christian Science Monitor announced that after 100 years of publishing a weekday newspaper it will “shift from a daily print format to an online publication.”

The Monitor’s move to the Web along with a host of new newsroom layoffs has David Carr of the New York Times mourning the death of old media. “Clearly, the sky is falling,” writes Carr. “The question now is how many people will be left to cover it.”
